You will get an up-close look at different types of fungus, including mushrooms and lichen. Learn about the benefits of fungus and how the different types are used in everyday life. Experiments and a take-home lapbook make this a class you don’t want to miss!\n\n\n\n3rd – 6th Grade Class: Natural Disasters (Earthquakes)Maximum: 10Want to learn more about earthquakes? Come join us in this fun, interactive class to learn about tectonic plates, the ring of fire, and seismic waves. Use Slinkys, Jell-O, and frosting to visualize these amazing concepts. Participants will have the chance to build their own structure to put to the test! This class will also cover earthquake preparedness and safety.\n\n\n\n7th – 12th Grade Class: Micro LifeMaximum: 15Come find out why the tiniest living organisms are a big deal! Build cell models and look at actual cells under a microscope. Identify key differences among the structures and functions of animal, plant, and bacterial cells.
