“Ologies” After-School Program: Cardiology (study of the heart – dissection)

Grade Level: 3rd – 5th Grade
Did you know your heart is not one pump, but TWO? Explore this and more amazing facts about the heart! Perform a sheep heart dissection to view the actual chambers and valves as well as major vessels. Learn about the similarities and differences among amphibian, fish, bird, and mammal hearts, and consider how animals have perfectly shaped hearts for what they do.

Limited spots available. Admission to the Exhibits is not included. There are two ways to register: in person at the Guest Services desk in the Museum lobby or contact the Group Sales department during regular weekday business hours at groups@cookmuseum.org or (256) 898-6312.
